Cynthia Lynn Wood (born September 25, 1950 in Burbank, California , USA is an American model and actress. She was chosen as Playmate of the Month in February 1973 and the 1974 Playmate of the Year. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.

Cyndi, as she is usually called, came from a show business family - her father was a recording executive, her mother was an actress. She attended Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles Valley College as a music major but shifted her emphasis to theatre before ultimately dropping out in 1971. She designed and sewed her clothing. She enjoys her body and loves going naked and she posed for Playboy for the "money and publicity."

Wood went into acting full force, her most prominent role being that of the fictional Playmate of the Year in the Vietnam War epic Apocalypse Now. She also kept up her love of music and singing. Eventually, though, she pursued a Ph.D. in psychology with the goal of helping emotionally disturbed children.

In April 1984, Wood posed nude in a close approximation of her original centerfold for the April 1984 Playboy pictorial "Playmates Forever! Part Two."
